Great bike with powerful motor, but no rear suspension :(
I have recently purchased a Duotts C29 bike. Although there are many good things to say about it, as others have already below, please be aware of somethings that you might wanna prepare for if you buy this:
1 - The instructions on how to assemble the bike aren't beginner friendly. As someone without any extensive biking experience, I was left clueless when it came to assembling the bike and had to resort to third party online guides. So, if you're like me, either have someone experienced to help you, or search online.
2- The bike is not actually equipped to carry 150kg. I'm a heavyset tall guy, weighing 140 kg, which is why I bought this bike, since they advertised the 150kg max load. However, after properly inflating the tires to a good pressure, they still sort of flattenned when I got on. Inflating them further could cause them to rupture with my added weight, so I decided to hold off riding it until I lose some weight.
3- Lastly, and most importantly: the brakes aren't good enough for the bike's power and advertised max load. If you purchase this bike, then for your safety's sake, spend extra money on the hydraulic brakes for the C29. Trust me. I almost caused an accident due to the bikes poor braking power.
TL;DR: You better be experienced in assembling bikes (or know someone who is), be under 120kg (I assume this isn't hard for 99% of the world), and purchase the hydraulic brakes, for the love of god, purchase those brakes.
Even though i had certain doubts of its function, i was suprised that it worked perfectly fine. I have had over 100km on it without any problems yet and i hope it will continue to be so.
Overall a good bike for the price
The c29 is the beest one ever
I'm just going to put the main point straight up; Buy it.
Sure, if you're the sort who feels the need to put down a heap more cash for something "spiffier" or some gimmick, there are alternatives. But you won't find a more priceworthy e-bike, I think. And I'm the sort who checks around before purchasing anything.
I had one absolutely minor complaint; The cell phone holder/charger was a little stuck or weak in its spring operation when the package arrived. Ten minutes with a screwdriver fixed that. Everything else? Like a dream. Frankly it's amazing they can put together the item at this price. Assembly was quick and easy and neat, the ride is exquisitely comfortable, the detailing is good, the equipment and controls are really thought out, and the motor has grunt to it. With my longtime-honed legs I zip to work at what feels like F1 speed, and I'm not even slightly winded when I arrive. My knees are already thanking me for the purchase, too...
It's not a Ferrari for what it is. More like a mid-tier Porsche or a good model BMW or Alfa Romeo. Meaning, it's still damn good. And when you put the price into the calculation? Absolutely superb.
